The Descendents of Adam and Hannah Miller Meet in 2005 Miller Reunion 2005 Click any picture to see a full size view. Adam Miller's Family How are we all related? We are all related through Adam Miller and Hannah Sheets. Adam was the first Miller of the bloodline born on American soil. At about 60 years old Adam moved the Millers to Beck's Mill Indiana from Salisbury North Carolina. It was Adam's Grampa, Michael Miller, who brought the Miller family from Palatine Germany to the British Colonies in 1732. Michael Miller's son Casper settled in Salisbury North Carolina where Adam was raised. Adam Miller had 3 sons, Dave, Bill and Andy, who were about 25, 18, and 15, when they made the trip from Salisbury to Beck's Mill. Everyone of the Miller bloodline present at the 2005 Miller Family Reunion called Adam and Hannah Miller their Gramma and Grampa Miller - just to a different degree of "Great". The Miller's of Coles County Illinois and those of Daviess County Indiana are the offspring of Dave Miller, while Harold "Bud" Miller is the result of Bill Miller's bloodline. Everybody has the exact same ancestry from Adam Miller and Hannah Sheets on up. If Adam and Hannah Miller were still alive, all of us would be part of their Family Reunion. If there are family reunions in heaven, we'll all be together forever. This reunion marked the reunion of the first American Miller family. Actually the Harold Glen Miller bloodline has a double dose of Miller if you look at his lineage in a relationship report.. He is also a descendent of Adam Miller's daughter Margaret "Peggy" Adams. Eli Henry Miller married his second cousin giving all of his descendents a membership in two generations of the Miller bloodline. For this reason Bud and his children are all the Great Great Great Grandchildren of Adam Miller This make's Washington County Bud Miller the 4th cousin of my dad and uncles and he is also their 3rd cousin once removed. To my cousins and I, Bud Miller is our 3rd cousin twice removed and our 4th cousin once removed. His son Dewey "Andy" Miller is my dad and uncles 4th cousin and 4th cousin once removed. To my cousins and I Andy is our 4th cousin once removed and our 5th cousin. Just a few tid-bits of info: - Cork Miller owns and operates Specialty Engineering in Dexter Missouri. All 3 of his sons live near by and work for the company. - Dennis Miller is co-owner and operator of Tri-County Paving and lives on the original property purchased by Arthur Miller when he moved the family to Daviess County. - Tyke Miller owned the land Dennis has now - it has passed down three generations of Millers so far. He serves as a minister at the Glendale Mount Olive Church. - Paul Miller lives in the house that belonged to Arthur and Evaline when they moved from Daviess County to Whitehall in Owen County. Evaline ran her beauty shop "Kum As U R" out of the back room. Paul also has a 100 acre farm that his son Jeff lives on. - Bud Miller is the namesake of South Bud Miller Road, the road you have to get on to get to the Smith Miller Cemetery. (If I ever run into North Bud Miller, I'm going tell him I think South Bud Miller can whoop him.) William S. Miller passed down some land to Eli Henry, who passed it down to Dewey Ray, who passed on to Bud who passed it on down to Andy. - Andy owns some land that has never been owned by anyone but the Millers. It has been passed down only four generations, but the acreage has been increased through the years to around 225. Read up on William S. Miller and see two 40 acre land grants that he got. This information is the research of many people across the United States and may contain errors. It is presented as the best information to date. Like all of those whose work I have incorporated herein, my research is a work in progress and subject to change without notice. A special thanks to Marlene Ricci of CA, Dwayne Meyer of CA, Jacqueline Bean of TX, Debbie Dick of IN, Milus Miller of IL, Carol Hendricks Miller of IN, Clarence Miller of IN, and Harold Glen Miller of IN. There are numerous others too; many of which are unknown, but their findings and stories are still much appreciated. Much of this would not have been possible with out their information. Also this website includes historical facts gathered from Washington County History, Indiana History, Rowan County and Salisbury North Carolina Historical sources and other US Historical sources.
