Arthur J. Miller and Evaline DeWeese

Colorized by James A. Miller

The Miller reunion for 2006 had the largest turn out in years. Did everybody hear I wasn't coming? Okay, that's a joke....

I am surprised though, because I have just realized that my Millers of Washington County Emails were being forwarded to a dead account and for that I apologize to anyone trying to contact me about the 2006 Miller Reunion. Next year I'll get it right.

None the less, the descendents of Arthur and Evaline (DeWeese) Miller met at the Odon Lions Club on September 4th 2006 at 12:00. Arthur is the Great Grandson of Dave "The Distiller" Miller and the Great Great Grandson of Adam Miller.

Everyone who attended the reunion this year are direct descendants of the Shewmakers, the Maucks, the Conrads, the Richardsons, the Nortons, and the Sheets. Both the Richardson and Miller bloodlines came to Washington County Indiana from Rowan County North Carolina. Evaline's bloodline came to Daviess County Indiana first when her Great Grandfather, Martin Van Buren Conrad, moved to Epsom to teach school. Epsom was the roughest town around in the 1860's-1870's when he was there.

This information is the research of many people across the United States and may contain errors. It is presented as the best information to date. Like all of those whose work I have incorporated herein, my research is a work in progress and subject to change without notice. A special thanks to Marlene Ricci of CA, Dwayne Meyer of CA, Jacqueline Bean of TX, Debbie Dick of IN, Milus Miller of IL, Carol Hendricks Miller of IN, Clarence Miller of IN, and Harold Glen Miller of IN. There are numerous others too; many of which are unknown, but their findings and stories are still much appreciated. Much of this would not have been possible with out their information. Also this website includes historical facts gathered from Washington County History, Indiana History, Rowan County and Salisbury North Carolina Historical sources and other US Historical sources.
