Mary Richardson, or Polly as she was known, married David Miller Sr. If Dave Miller Sr is your ancestor, then these Richardsons are your Grandparents too. Ivy Richardson carries the same number of "Greats" as Adam Miller.

Polly is buried at the Smith Miller Cemetery and her father Ivy is buried at the Beck Cemetery.

Polly was the daughter of Ivy and Olive Richardson, a neighbor to the Millers. Olive was known as "Olley Richardson. "

Ivy was the son of Richard Richardson or "Richerson" as it was sometimes spelled. Richard Richardson is the equivalent to Casper Miller in the number of "Greats" for those related through Dave Miller's wife Polly.

Dave and Polly Miller named two of their children after Polly's parents. Olive and Ivy were named after Olive and Ivy Richardson.

Polly's Grampa Richard Richardson was born in 1760 and died in 1838 in Washington County Indiana, he's probably who brought the Richardson family to Indiana. He owned 295 acres in Rudolph County North Carolina

Polly Miller's Mother - Olive Richardson's Obituary (My 4th Great Grandma)

Obituaries Selected Newspapers of Washington County Indiana Volume IV P-S Compiled and Edited by James E Bolding page 98

The Salem Weekly Union Advocate, April 19 1866

An old lady, aged 71 years, named Olive Richardson was burned to death near Fredericksburg, in this county. It appears that the old lady lived alone, and her dress caught fire while cooking, and no assistance being near was burned to a crisp before the facts became known.

This information is the research of many people across the United States and may contain errors. It is presented as the best information to date. Like all of those whose work I have incorporated herein, my research is a work in progress and subject to change without notice. A special thanks to Marlene Ricci of CA, Dwayne Meyer of CA, Jacqueline Bean of TX, Debbie Dick of IN, Milus Miller of IL, Carol Hendricks Miller of IN, Clarence Miller of IN, and Harold Glen Miller of IN. There are numerous others too; many of which are unknown, but their findings and stories are still much appreciated. Much of this would not have been possible with out their information. Also this website includes historical facts gathered from Washington County History, Indiana History, Rowan County and Salisbury North Carolina Historical sources and other US Historical sources.
